Everything you have to do to release and get paid for your music

Release Console walks you through each stage in order, explains why every step matters, fills in the details you've already given once, and keeps a permanent record of what you finished and when.

The royalties beyond your distributor

Unclaimed Royalty Calculator

Missing publishing registrations? See an illustrative range of mechanical and performance royalties that could go uncollected.

Assumes you own 100% of the composition and neither royalty type is already collected for you. Co-writer shares and fees reduce your amount.

This is an educational scenario, not money confirmed owed or guaranteed recoverable. Spotify has no fixed per-stream rate. Actual royalties depend on territory, listener plans, ownership, agreements, and collection status.

Assumptions & rights eligibility

Our illustrative assumptions are $0.0004–$0.0007 per stream for mechanical royalties and $0.0002–$0.0003 for composition performance royalties. These are chosen scenario ranges, not official Spotify rates. The total excludes master recording income paid through a label or distributor. If a publisher, administrator, or collecting society already collects these royalties, they may not be missing.

*Neighboring rights concern the recording, not the composition. U.S. SoundExchange royalties cover eligible non-interactive services, not Spotify on-demand streams. Other territories and uses have different rules; your Spotify stream count alone cannot establish a neighboring-rights amount. Not estimated does not mean you have no eligible royalties elsewhere.

Registration helps match royalties to rightsholders, but does not guarantee retroactive recovery. Check your repertoire with your publishing administrator and collecting societies.
